After shooting a Real Colorado Soccer (@realcolosoccer) girl's game last weekend, I had a few minutes to photograph some of a boy's game, too. This time, I converted the images to black and white in Lightroom to give them a bit of a retro look. What do you think of sports images in black and white? I'd love to read your feedback.

Yesterday, Nikon announced their new, entry-level DSLR. Based on its specs, it is bound to be a big hit. The D3200 is a 24.2-megapixel camera that also shoots 1080p HD video. Have you been looking for a camera to help you improve the quality of your images as well as capture terrific video? This may be the camera for you... It is amazing to me just how much technology you can get today for $699.

New Denver Zoo Workshop Announcement

We are happy to announce the creation of our new Denver Zoo Workshop.

In the last few months, we have often been asked if we provide any type of photographic instruction. Until now, our answer has been "no, not really". But because we love to teach and we definitely love photography, the requests made us stop and think about developing some kind of workshop. However, it wasn't until we visited the zoo last weekend that it all seemed to come together. We think that it would be fun to provide a morning or afternoon of instruction to one or two fairly new DSLR photographers at a terrific zoo that provides lots of great photo opportunities. So, we sat down and crafted what we think will provide an enjoyable, low-key, reasonably-priced, educational photographic experience at one of the nation's leading zoos.
