The University of Denver Men's Basketball Team (@DU_MHoops) played its first game ever on ESPN this weekend - and guess who got to go? We had so much fun! About 6,000 fans - most of them boisterous students - watched DU defeat Middle Tennessee State by a score of 75-60.
Coming into Saturday's game, MTS was undefeated in conference play (10-0). It was close until the end with the lead changing many times. Chris Udofia had a huge game scoring 27 points. Udofia was just named the Sun Belt Conference's Player of the Week. Rob Lewis scored the first eight points for the Pioneers as he kept them close early in the game. Brett Olson, a graduate of Highlands Ranch High School, did a great job running the offense. At one point, Olsen was injured and DU really struggled. When he re-entered the game, their next trip down the court resulted in a huge slam dunk basket by Udofia. Great fun!
Urban Method (@urbanmethod), the singing group from the TV show "The Sing-off", performed the National Anthem and at halftime. They were great!. Having the DU band in attendance also really helped create a memorable college basketball experience.
I tried something a little different with the post-processing of the images - all black and white. All of my black and white conversions were done in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.
