RECOMMENDED LENSES

For most people, the kit lens that comes bundled with our recommended family cameras will be all they'll ever need to capture great images. However, if you're looking to move to a higher level of performance, the addition of the following lenses will really help. We have chosen our Top 3 Lenses for both Nikon and Olympus based on their performance, value, and specific shooting situations. Please feel free to contact us if you need help choosing a lens or have any other questions.

Nikon #1 | Nikkor AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm F1.8G  (affiliate link)

If you're looking for a small, lightweight lens that works well in low-light situations, this may be your lens. It has a 52.5mm equivalent focal range (when mounted on an APS-C camera like the D5600) that mimics that of the human eye. It is a great all-around lens. Most photography instructors will suggest this lens as a tool to help you develop your "eye" for shooting. It is a low cost, high quality lens to get you started on your photographic journey.
